JOYCE YY FU

Artistic practice as research

Joyce YY Fu works across moving image, translation, archival research, exhibition-making, and digital interfaces to study how technology mediates belief: how bodies encounter God and sin through screens, and how cultural records survive by moving between languages, media, people, and institutions.

A research practice with two starting points

The films begin from bodies and belief. The thesis and database begin from records and transmission. Technology connects them, while translation moves between embodied language and cultural memory.

This portfolio brings artistic work and research methods into the same frame: moving-image experiments, critical translation, archival reconstruction, and public research interfaces.
